JANUARY
2011 starts of with a Goose rescue
 DARREN AFTER THE RESCUE
Well done Darren for a swift rescue this may have saved this unwell animal
and it was able to be transported to the vets to be looked at.
FEBRUARY
 
Swan rescued and taken to a vet as it was very ill looks like poisoning of some sort
Joan here transports it to the vet.

1st of march herts boat rescue equipment audit.
swan rescued from busy rounderbout - we rescued a swan walking about on a busy road in hertford it was possible it was going to get hurt or cause an accident so it was transfered to a flock in stanbough lakes where it was released into safety.

Flood week from 7th to the 13th emergency services put to the test for flooding in the uk.
march the 13th all younsters trained to life support 3-
12 life support tests complete bringing all the yousters up to standard in flood week.

CVSBEH East Herts stronger communities capital fund
we have gained a funds from cvsbeh for a basket stretcher to aid us at events in east herts this will help if somone gets hurt during an event and needs to be evacuated from the water.
we wish to thank them for there kind help this valuble rescue equipment can save someones life in the event of a serious injury !!!

DEFRA FLOOD FUNDING
This week we gained a grant for funding to set up a flood rescue division to herts boat rescue.
 
with this funding we will be able to purchase flood rescue equipment for use in flood conditions.
MAY
East herts district council and epping forest district council provide funding to renew one of our old engines - thankyou to these distict councilss for there support without this life saving equipment we cant help others

Rescue patrols through 2011
Rescue patrols run all year, thanks to all of the unpaid volunteers
A high number of helpers on all of the patrols worked well and makes the organisation run like clockwork.
