Cold weather warning still in force
DON'T swim in rivers, canals, locks and lakes in the cold weather OR at any time its not safe YOU CAN DROWN.
ICE- dont walk on it you dont know how thick the ice is!
SWIMMING IN COLD WATER- you will be quickly incapacitated from the cold.
Please use your local swimming pool at least you are being watched if you get into difficulty and someone is there to help you.

Swan rescued and taken to a vet as it was very ill looks like poisoning of some sort

swan rescued from busy rounderbout - we rescued a swan walking about on a busy road in hertford it was possible it was going to get hurt or cause an accident so it was transfered to a flock in stanbough lakes where it was released into safety.

Flood week from 7th to the 13th emergency services put to the test for flooding in the uk.

12 life support tests complete bringing all the yousters up to standard in flood week.

CVSBEH East Herts stronger communities capital fund
we have gained a funds from cvsbeh for a basket stretcher to aid us at events in east herts this will help if somone gets hurt during an event and needs to be evacuated from the water.
we wish to thank them for there kind help this valuble rescue equipment can save someones life in the event of a serious injury !!!

May 2010 Herts Community Foundation provides funding for youngsters safety equipment to keep them safe around water.
Thank you to all the team at the HCF keeping people safe in Hertfordshire and making water a safer place.
June 2010 HBR and the Bishops Stortford Life Saving Club Meets again with the DLRG German water rescue repesentative at Bishops Stortford. All is well with the twinning of the groups and the bond in water rescue knowlege.
